Export Committees on Regulations, Materials, Transportation Equipment to Meet

Regulations. The Bureau of Industry and Security’s Regulations and Procedures Technical Advisory Committee will hold a partially open meeting Sept. 13 in Washington, D.C. This committee advises BIS on implementation of the Export Administration Regulations and provides for continuing review to update the EAR as needed. The public session of this meeting will include updates on export enforcement, regulations, and the Automated Export System as well as working group reports.

Materials. The BIS Materials Technical Advisory Committee will hold a partially open meeting Sept. 8 in Washington, D.C. This committee advises BIS on technical questions that affect the level of export controls applicable to materials and related technology. The public session of this meeting will include reports by regime representatives, the Composite Working Group, the Biological Working Group, the Pump and Valves Working Group, and the Chemicals Working Group.

Transportation Equipment. The BIS Transportation and Related Equipment Technical Advisory Committee will hold a partially open meeting Sept. 7 in Washington, D.C. This committee advises BIS on technical questions that affect the level of export controls applicable to transportation and related equipment or technology. The public session of this meeting will include status reports by working group chairs.
