Export Committee on Emerging Technology and Research to Meet April 25

The Bureau of Industry and Security’s Emerging Technology and Research Advisory Committee will hold a partially open meeting April 25-26 at the Department of Commerce headquarters building in Washington, D.C. Topics to be addressed during the open sessions of this meeting include deemed exports, the status of the Export Control Reform Initiative, the impact of export controls on higher education and scientific institutions, the Intelligence and National Security Alliance Innovations Showcase Program, and the implications of emerging technologies for industry-university collaborations.

The open sessions will be accessible via teleconference to 40 participants on a first come, first served basis, and requests to participate in this manner are due no later than April 18. In addition, a limited number of seats will be available at these sessions, but reservations are not accepted.
