Export Administration Panel Holds Open Meeting Sept. 18
The President’s Export Council Subcommittee on Export Administration will hold an open meeting Sept. 18 in Washington, D.C. The PECSEA provides advice on matters pertinent to portions of the Export Administration Act that deal with U.S. policies of encouraging trade with countries with which the U.S. has diplomatic or trading relations and of controlling trade for national security and foreign policy reasons.
The Sept. 18 meeting will include an update on the Export Control Reform Initiative, presentation of papers or comments by the public, and subcommittee updates. A limited number of seats will be available at this meeting, but reservations are not accepted. The meeting will also be accessible via teleconference to 20 participants on a first come, first served basis, and requests to participate in this manner are due no later than Sept. 11.
