No Change to Energy Conservation Standards for Direct Heating Equipment

The Department of Energy has determined not to amend its energy conservation standards for direct heating equipment. The DOE concluded that more stringent standards are not economically justified because the market characteristics are largely similar to those analyzed in the previous rulemaking and the technologies available for improving DHE energy efficiency have not advanced significantly since the previous rulemaking analyses in 2010.
