Energy Conservation Standards for Computer Systems Get Longer Comment Period

The Department of Energy has extended from Sept. 2 to Oct. 2 the period for public comments, data and information on a framework document associated with the possible establishment of energy conservation standards for computer and battery backup systems. This document details the analytical approach and scope of coverage for the DOE’s rulemaking and identifies several issues on which the department is particularly interested in receiving comments.
