Energy Conservation Standards for Ceiling Fan Light Kits Toughened

The Department of Energy has issued a final rule adopting more stringent energy conservation standards for ceiling fan light kits after determining that these standards would result in significant energy conservation and are technologically feasible and economically justified. This rule is effective as of March 7 but compliance will only be required for covered products manufactured in or imported into the U.S. on or after Jan. 7, 2019.
