Export Committee on Emerging Technology and Research Activities to Meet March 12

The Bureau of Industry and Security’s Emerging Technology and Research Advisory Committee will hold a partially open meeting March 12 at Commerce Department headquarters in Washington, D.C. This committee advises the BIS on emerging technology and research activities, including those related to deemed exports.

Items to be discussed at the open session of the upcoming meeting include identification of emerging technologies; developments in the definition of technology data, fundamental research and the public domain; massive online courses; license exceptions GOV and TSU; and deemed reexports. This session will be accessible via teleconference to 25 participants on a first come, first served basis, and requests to participate in this manner are due no later than March 5. In addition, a limited number of seats will be available at the public session, but reservations are not accepted.
