Commission to present in March proposal to crack down on corporate tax evasion

In an effort to crack down on corporate tax evasion and tax avoidance, the European Commission will present in March a Tax Transparency Package, including a legislative proposal for the automatic exchange of information on tax rulings. The Commission will present a second package of measures dealing with fair and efficient corporate taxation this summer.

Partial review of AD measure on tube and pipe fittings from Korea

The review will assess the need to amend, maintain or repeal this measure with respect to exporter TK Corporation.

EU keen to restart FTA negotiations with India

The negotiations have been underway for about eight years but have stalled since 2013 over EU demands on lower tariffs for vehicles and auto parts and Indian demands for improved access for its professionals. Further talks may have to await India’s issuance of a new foreign trade policy.

Imports of five plants from India allowed with phytosanitary certificate

The previous ban on plants of Mangifera L. other than seeds has been lifted due to significant improvements in India’s phytosanitary export certification system.

Switzerland-UAE FTA to be implemented 1 July

The agreement provides for duty-free treatment for trade in goods and covers the service industry as well, which is 70 percent of Switzerland’s GDP.
