FTZ Authority Expanded at Drug, Auto Parts Facilities; Steel Facility Request Considered

The Foreign-Trade Zones Board has authorized an expansion of production under zone procedures at the Neolpharma Inc. facility within subzone 7O in Caguas, Puerto Rico. Neolpharma already had authority to produce clarithromycin, azithromycin, levothyroxine, hydroxyzine pamoate and hydroxyzine hydrochloride at this facility and the FTZ Board has added finished products and foreign-status materials to the scope of authority.

The FTZ Board has also authorized an expansion of production under zone procedures at the Valeo North America Inc. d/b/a Valeo Compressor North America facility within FTZ 39 in Dallas, Texas. Valeo already had authority to produce air conditioner compressor assemblies for motor vehicles at this facility and the FTZ Board has added a new finished product (electromagnetic compressor/clutch assemblies) and certain foreign-status components to the scope of authority.

The FTZ Board has authorized production under zone procedures at the Outokumpu Stainless USA LLC facility within FTZ 82 in Calvert, Ala., which is used for the production of stainless steel mill products. This authorization is subject to a condition that all foreign status ferrosilicon, molybdenum and titanium classified under HTSUS subheadings 7202.21, 8102.94, 8108.20 and 8108.90 be admitted to the subzone in privileged foreign status.
