Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg Trade Report

The State Department’s Directorate of Defense Trade Controls is planning to modernize its information management systems over the next two years and has announced two steps toward that goal.

The first stage will be a modification of the statement of registration form (DS-2032) to allow for more automated processing. The modified form will be sent to the Office of Management and Budget for formal approval and users will have an opportunity to comment on the changes at that time.

Secondly, DDTC is creating an external user stakeholder group that will provide feedback and testing as the case management system is customized and deployed. Those interested in being a part of this group should notify Karen Wrege.
