The State Department’s Directorate of Defense Trade Controls is now requiring the use of an updated version of form DS-2032, Statement of Registration. This version includes several modifications, including the ability for U.S. persons to consolidate manufacturer/exporter/broker registrations, updates to U.S. Munitions List categories, disclosure of intermediate through ultimate parents, a certification regarding debarred or subsequently reinstated parties, a certification on violations involving any U.S. criminal statutes, and clarification on foreign ownership. Older versions of this form will no longer be accepted as of Oct. 25.

DDTC states that the revised form may be submitted electronically, by registered mail or by express mail until Dec. 31. Effective Jan. 1, 2014, only electronic submissions of this form will be permitted.
