USDA Authorizes Imports of Fresh Cranberries from Chile

The Department of Agriculture’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service has decided to authorize imports of fresh cranberries from Chile into the continental United States, effective Sept. 9. Such imports will be subject to the following phytosanitary measures.

- the cranberries must be imported as commercial consignments only

- each consignment must be accompanied by a phytosanitary certificate issued by the national plant protection organization of Chile

- each consignment of cranberries is subject to inspection upon arrival at the U.S. port of entry
