The Food and Drug Administration will hold a public meeting May 8 in College Park, Md., to invite public input on various topics pertaining to the regulation of cosmetics. The FDA may use this input to help prepare for the International Cooperation on Cosmetics Regulation meeting that will be held in Japan July 8-10. The purpose of the ICCR, a voluntary group of cosmetics regulatory authorities from the U.S., Japan, Canada and the European Union, is to pave the way for the removal of regulatory obstacles to international trade while maintaining global consumer protection. Those interested in attending the FDA meeting should register here.
