The U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission will hold an open public hearing April 25 in Ames, Iowa, to discuss China’s agricultural policy and U.S. access to the Chinese market. This hearing will examine China’s approach to developing its agricultural sector, how that development presents opportunities and constraints for U.S. producers, and what safety and public health issues continue to affect China’s agriculture and food processing industries.
