IPR Enforcement Actions on Cable Connectors, Transporters, Lip Balm, Toys, Graphics Chips

Coaxial Cable Connectors. In investigation 337-TA-938, the International Trade Commission has determined not to review an initial determination granting the respondent’s motion for summary determination that the so-called new C3 coaxial cable connector designs do not infringe the patent claims asserted by complainant PPC Broadband Inc. This ID concluded that the respondent produced evidence of non-infringement by the new designs and that PPC produced no evidence of infringement.

Personal Transporters. The ITC has narrowed the scope of patent and copyright infringement investigation 337-TA-935 of personal transporters, components thereof and manuals therefor by terminating three respondents based on settlement agreements with complainants Segway Inc. and DEKA Products Limited Partnership.

Lip Balm Products. The ITA has narrowed the scope of patent infringement investigation 337-TA-961 of lip balm products, containers for lip balm, and components thereof by terminating one respondent on the basis of a settlement agreement with complainants eos Products LLC and The Kind Group LLC.

Toy Figurines. In patent and copyright infringement investigation 337-TA-0948 of toy figurines and toy sets containing the same, the ITC has determined to review an initial determination terminating one respondent based on a consent order stipulation, a proposed consent order and a settlement agreement with complainants LEGO A/S, LEGO System A/S and LEGO Systems Inc.

Graphics Processing Chips. The ITC has narrowed the scope of patent infringement investigation 337-TA-941 of graphics processing chips, systems on a chip and products containing the same by terminating this investigation with respect to specific patent claims asserted by complainants Samsung Austin Semiconductor LLC and Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. as well as one respondent.
