Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg Trade Report

The Treasury Department’s Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau is requesting comments through Sept. 8 on the proposed extension of form TTB F 5130.12, “Beer for Exportation.” Beer may be removed from a domestic brewery for exportation without payment of the federal excise tax normally due on removal. To ensure that exportation takes place as claimed and that untaxpaid beer does not reach the domestic market, TTB requires certification of the exportation on this form.
