Import Restrictions on Archaeological Material from El Salvador Extended

U.S. Customs and Border Protection has issued a final rule extending for five more years the import restrictions in place on certain archaeological materials from the pre-Hispanic cultures of El Salvador. The State Department has determined that conditions continue to warrant the imposition of these restrictions, effective from March 8. The list of restricted materials includes objects of ceramic, metal and stone as well as incense burners and mushroom effigies.
