Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg Trade Report

Aluminum Extrusions. Based on a ruling by the Court of International Trade, the International Trade Administration has amended a final scope ruling to indicate that the antidumping and countervailing duty orders on aluminum extrusions from China do not apply to 13 product models of Quick-Connect frames, Quick-Connect handles and mopping kits imported by Rubbermaid Commercial Products LLC. The ITA will instruct U.S. Customs and Border Protection that the cash deposit rate for these products will be zero. If the CIT ruling is not appealed or is upheld on appeal, the ITA will also instruct CBP to liquidate entries of these products without regard to AD and/or CV duties and to lift the suspension of liquidation of such entries.

Magnesia Carbon Bricks. The ITA has rescinded its administrative review of the CV duty order on magnesia carbon bricks from China for the period Jan. 1 through Dec. 31, 2013, based on a lack of suspended entries for companies subject to review.
