Apparel Company Executive Named as Member of Trade Policy Advisory Committee

President Obama announced April 28 his intent to appoint Emanuel Chirico as a member of the Advisory Committee for Trade Policy and Negotiations. Chirico is chairman and chief executive officer of Phillip Van Heusen, positions he has held since 2007 and 2006, respectively.

The ACTPN provides the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative with policy advice on matters arising in connection with the development, implementation and administration of U.S. trade policy. It is composed of representatives of non-federal governments, labor, industry, agriculture, small business, service industries, retailers, non-governmental environmental and conservation organizations, and consumer interests.
