Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg Trade Report

The Environmental Protection Agency has issued a final rule that, effective May 26, will revoke the significant new use rule for two chemical substances that were identified generically as metal salts of complex inorganic oxyacids. The EPA explains that based on the results of testing it has determined that both of these substances have inherently low toxicity. As a result, the advance import notice and recordkeeping requirements for these two substances will be terminated as of May 26.
