The Federal Maritime Commission revoked the ocean transportation intermediary license of Swift International Logistics Inc. (license #024038N) as of Nov. 2. The FMC noted in late October that it had received a growing number of complaints regarding this company, though the nature of those complaints was not specified, and that efforts by consumers to contact the company had been unsuccessful.

The FMC states that as a result of this revocation Swift is no longer authorized to provide OTI services and that consumers and businesses should not tender cargo to it or its agents for the international shipment of goods. Further, the FMC said it has information that four shipments that were handled by Swift will be auctioned by transportation providers to whom payments for service have not been made.
