Global trade managed services provider Sandler & Travis Trade Advisory Services, Inc. announced today that import and export expert Mike Wilder has joined the company as vice president of business practice innovation. Leveraging more than 25 years of international trade experience, Mr. Wilder will play an integral role in helping STTAS maintain its position as a leader in developing new and effective trade and customs solutions for businesses around the world.

Mr. Wilder has experience in all major areas of customs and international trade and has held executive-level positions with leading automotive companies, focusing extensively on free trade agreements and valuation. He also spent five years with U.S. Customs as a regulatory auditor. A certified public accountant, Mr. Wilder previously served as a manager and consultant for a major accounting firm.

“Mike is a dynamic addition to STTAS and the insights he’s gained from working with Tier 1 suppliers in the automotive industry are already bringing substantial value to our clients,” said STTAS Executive Chairman Tom Travis. “Like autos, many sectors today have supply chains that cross multiple borders. Mike has a detailed understanding of how to manage import and export matters in those supply chains to accelerate cargo clearance, maximize compliance and increase our clients’ bottom lines.”

STTAS, together with its affiliated law firm, Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg, P.A., is the largest dedicated international trade and customs firm in the world, employing over 700 global trade professionals in 12 cities throughout North America, South America, Europe and Asia.
