Commodity: Monosodium glutamate.
Country: China and Indonesia.
Nature of Notice: Initiation of antidumping and countervailing duty investigations. Alleged dumping margins range from 64.77% to 204.69% for China and 50.32% to 58.67% for Indonesia.
Details: The scope of these investigations covers MSG whether or not blended or in solution with other products. Specifically, MSG that has been blended or is in solution with other product(s) is included when the resulting mix contains 15% or more of MSG by dry weight. Products with which MSG may be blended include salts, sugars, starches, maltodextrins and various seasonings. MSG is also included regardless of physical form (including substrates, solutions, dry powders of any particle size, or unfinished forms such as MSG slurry), end-use application or packaging. Merchandise covered by the scope of these investigations is currently classified under HTSUS 2922.42.1000 and may also enter under HTSUS 2922.42.5000, 2103.90.7200, 2103.90.7400, 2103.90.7800, 2103.90.8000 and 2103.90.9091.

Nature of Notice: Final results of administrative review of antidumping duty order for the period Nov. 1, 2011, through Oct. 31, 2012.
Details: Baosteel Group Corporation, Shanghai Baosteel International Economic and Trading Co. Ltd., and Baoshan Iron and Steel Co. Ltd. (collectively, Baosteel) had no reviewable transactions of subject merchandise during the period of review.

Commodity: Large diameter carbon and alloy seamless standard, line and pressure pipe (over 4.5”).
Country: Japan.
Nature of Notice: Final results of administrative review of antidumping duty order for the period June 1, 2011, through May 31, 2012.
Details: JFE Steel Corporation, Nippon Steel Corporation, NKK Tubes and Sumitomo Metal Industries Ltd. had no shipments of subject merchandise during the period of review. In addition, Canadian Natural Resources Limited had no sales to unaffiliated customers in the U.S. or to unaffiliated customers for exportation to the U.S.

Nature of Notice: Sunset review determination that revocation of this antidumping duty order would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of dumping at rates ranging from 20.19% to 47.64%.
Details: If the ITC’s determination is also affirmative, this order will be continued for another five years; otherwise, it will be revoked.

Commodity: Steel concrete reinforcing bar.
Country: Mexico and Turkey.
Nature of Notice: Nov. 1 open meeting for vote on preliminary antidumping and countervailing injury determinations.

Commodity: Welded large diameter line pipe.
Country: Japan.
Nature of Notice: Continuation of antidumping duty order for five years, effective Oct. 29.
Details: The product covered by this order is certain welded carbon and alloy line pipe, of circular cross section and with an outside diameter greater than 16 inches but less than 64 inches, whether or not stenciled. This product is normally produced according to American Petroleum Institute specifications, including grades A25, A, B and X grades ranging from X42 to X80, but can also be produced to other specifications. The product is currently classified under HTSUS 7305.11.1030, 7305.11.1060, 7305.11.5000, 7305.12.1030, 7305.12.1060, 7305.12.5000, 7305.19.1030. 7305.19.1060 and 7305.19.50.00.
