Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg Trade Report

The Federal Trade Commission has issued a final rule revising its labelling requirements for heating and cooling equipment. Slated to enter into force on April 6, 2015, these amendments update labels for furnaces and boilers, including range information, remove information on furnace labels about regional standards, and remove mandatory capacity disclosures for all heating and cooling equipment. The FTC indicates that it intends to address in a future notice a number of additional matters discussed in a June 18, 2014 supplemental notice of proposed rulemaking.
