Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg Trade Report

The Committee for the Implementation of Textile Agreements has received a short supply request under the U.S.-Korea Free Trade Agreement concerning certain textured and non-textured cuprammonium rayon filament yarns classified under HTSUS 5403.39. The petitioner alleges that these yarns are not available in commercial quantities in a timely manner from a supplier the U.S. and notes that they are deemed to be in short supply under DR-CAFTA, AGOA and CBTPA.

The petitioner is therefore requesting that this fabric be added to the KORUS short supply list in an unrestricted quantity. Responses with an offer to supply these yarns are due no later than March 25.
