The International Trade Commission announced Oct. 28 that it has launched an investigation to examine significant changes to India's trade and investment policies since mid-2014. The ITC’s report in a similar investigation covering the period 2003 through mid-2014 is due to Congress by Dec. 15.

The ITC states that in this follow-up investigation it will provide information about any significant changes by the Indian government to the trade and investment policies identified in the Commission's ongoing investigation. The ITC will also include information on any relevant new trade and investment policies and practices in India, focusing on the period from mid-2014.

The ITC will hold a public hearing in connection with this investigation on April 7, 2015, and requests to appear at this hearing are due by March 24. Written submissions for the record of this investigation are due no later than June 2. The ITC expects to deliver its final report by Sept. 24.
