The U.S. International Trade Commission has initiated a Section 337 investigation of certain digital media devices, including televisions, blu-ray players, home theater systems, tablets, mobile phones, components thereof and associated software from South Korea and Japan. The products at issue in this investigation are digital media devices having features related to the sharing of media across devices. The complainant alleges that the respondents have infringed certain U.S. patents and is requesting the ITC to issue exclusion and cease and desist orders on subject merchandise.
