Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg Trade Report

The Foreign-Trade Zones Board has authorized an expansion of production activity under zone procedures at the Whirlpool Corporation facility within subzone 8I in Clyde and Green Springs, Ohio. Whirlpool already had authority to produce standard and high-capacity washing machines using certain imported components at these facilities, and additional foreign-status components are being added to the scope of authority.

The FTZ Board has received from the South Carolina State Ports Authority, grantee of FTZ 21, a notification of proposed production activity at the MAHLE Behr Charleston Inc. facility in Charleston, S.C. This facility is used for the production of engine cooling modules, exhaust gas recirculation valves and temperature sensors, and charge air coolers. Comments on this notification are due no later than April 7.
