FTZ Board Considers Requests from Textile and Apparel Facilities

The Foreign-Trade Zones Board has received from Claremont Flock, a division of Spectro Coating Corporation, a notification of proposed production activity at its facility within subzone 27N in Leominster, Mass. Claremont Flock already has authority to produce textile flock using acrylic and rayon tow within subzone 27N and the current request would add polyester tow as a material/component to the scope of authority. Comments on this notification are due no later than Nov. 28.

The FTZ Board has received from the Maryland Aviation Administration, on behalf of the Maryland Department of Transportation, grantee of FTZ 73, a request for subzone status for the Jos. A. Bank Manufacturing Company facilities in Hampstead and Eldersburg, Md. No authorization for production activity has been requested at this time. Comments on this request are due no later than Nov. 28.
