Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg Trade Report

The Foreign-Trade Zones Board is accepting through April 4 comments on the following.

- The Chattanooga Chamber Foundation, grantee of FTZ 134, has submitted a notification of proposed production activity at the Volkswagen Group of America Chattanooga Operations LLC facility in Chattanooga, Tenn. VGACO already has authority to produce passenger sedans, sport utility vehicles and minivans within site 3 of FTZ 134 and the current request would add certain foreign-status materials and components to the scope of authority.

- The County of Erie, grantee of FTZ 23, is requesting subzone status for the Cummins Inc. facilities in Lakewood and Jamestown, N.Y. A notification of proposed production activity will be submitted and published separately for public comment.

- The Massachusetts Port Authority, grantee of FTZ 27, is requesting subzone status for the Barrett Distribution Center Inc. facility in Franklin, Mass. No authorization for production activity has been requested at this time.

In addition, the FTZ Board has approved production activity under zone procedures at the H-J Enterprises Inc./H-J International Inc. facilities at two sites in High Ridge, Mo., which are used for the production of electrical transformer bushing assemblies for utility companies.
