The Foreign-Trade Zones Board has received from the Eastern Distribution Center Inc., grantee of FTZ 24, an application requesting subzone status for the Michaels Stores Procurement Company Inc. facilities in Hazleton, Pa. Comments are due no later than Sept. 7. No authorization for production activity has been requested at this time.

The FTZ has received from the South Carolina State Ports Authority, grantee of FTZ 38, a notification of proposed production activity at the Benteler Automotive Corporation facility in Duncan, S.C. Benteler already has authority to produce automotive suspension and body components within subzone 38F and the current request would add one finished product to the scope of authority.
