FTZ Board Moves to Create New Subzone, Expand Production Authority at Two Sites

The Foreign-Trade Zones Board has received from the Greater Metropolitan Area Foreign Trade Zone Commission, grantee of FTZ 119, a request for subzone status for the CNH Industrial America LLC facilities in Benson, Minn. Comments on this request are due no later than Dec. 28. In addition, a notification of proposed production activity has been submitted and is being processed.

The FTZ Board has received from MannKind Corporation, an operator of FTZ 76, a notification of proposed production activity at its facilities in Danbury, Conn., which are used for the production of inhalable insulin. Comments on this request are due no later than Dec. 28. A separate application for subzone designation at the MannKind facilities has been submitted and is being processed.

The FTZ Board has approved production under zone procedures at the facility of The Cookson Company Inc. within FTZ 277 in Goodyear, Ariz., which is used for the assembly and production of rolling steel doors.
