Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg Trade Report

The Foreign-Trade Zones Board has received from ASML US Inc., operator of subzone 76A, a notification of proposed production activity at its facilities in Newtown and Wilton, Conn. These facilities are used for the production of advanced system modules for optical, metrology and lithography semiconductor manufacturing equipment. The FTZ Board notes that inputs included in certain textile categories (classified within HTSUS subheading 4202.99) would be admitted to subzone 76A in privileged foreign status, thereby precluding inverted tariff benefits on such items. Comments on this notification are due no later than June 14.
