Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg Trade Report

The Foreign-Trade Zones Board has received from Broan-NuTone LLC a notification of proposed production activity for its facility within subzone 41L in Hartford, Wis., which is used for the manufacturing and distribution of residential range hoods, subassemblies or component parts for centrifugal blowers, ceiling exhaust fans, wall or ceiling heaters, blower assemblies and roof and wall caps.

The FTZ Board has also received from Easton-Bell Sports Inc. a notification of proposed production activity for its facility within FTZ 114 in Rantoul, Ill., which is used for the assembly and distribution of safety helmets, baby seats for bicycles and bicycle car carrier racks. A separate application for subzone status at this facility was submitted and is being processed. The request indicates that textile bags (classified under HTSUS 4202.92) will be admitted to the zone in privileged foreign status, thereby precluding inverted tariff benefits on such items.

Comments on both of these notifications are due no later than Aug. 27.
