Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg Trade Report

The Foreign-Trade Zones Board has approved production activity under zone procedures at the Canon Virginia Inc. facilities within subzone 20D in Newport News, Va. CVI already had authority to produce a range of printers, copiers and their parts, including toner cartridges and toner bottles, within this subzone, and the FTZ Board has now added foreign status components (oil, polymer fixing agent, resins and filter paper) to the scope of authority.

The FTZ Board has received from The Coleman Company Inc., operator of FTZ 119, a notification of proposed production activity for its facility in Sauk Rapids, Minn., which is used for the production of personal flotation devices and cushions constructed with textile fabrics. A separate application for subzone designation at this facility has been submitted. Comments on this notification are due no later than May 12.
