Expanded FTZ Authority Sought for Mobile Phone, Footwear, Electric Facilities

The Foreign-Trade Zones Board is accepting through April 7 comments on the following.

- a notification from the Metroplex International Trade Development Corporation, grantee of FTZ 168, of proposed production activity at the Samsung Electronics America Inc. facility in Coppell, Texas, which is used for the warehousing, distribution and kitting of mobile phones and tablet computers

- a request from the Greater Metropolitan Area Foreign Trade Zone Commission, grantee of FTZ 119, for subzone status for the Red Wing Shoe Company Inc. facilities in Red Wing, Minn. (no authorization for production activity has been requested at this time)

- a request from the Puerto Rico Trade & Export Company, grantee of FTZ 61, for subzone status for the Roger Electric Corporation facility in Bayamon, Puerto Rico (no authorization for production activity has been requested at this time)
