Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg Trade Report

The Foreign-Trade Zones Board has authorized additional production under zone procedures at the Givaudan Fragrances Corporation facility within site 1 of FTZ 44 in Mt. Olive, N.J. Givaudan already had authority to produce fragrance and flavor compounds at this facility, and four foreign status components have now been added to the scope of authority.

However, the FTZ Board has rejected a notification of proposed production under zone procedures at the Schoeller Arca Systems Inc. facility in Goodyear, Ariz., which is used for the production of customized plastic containers for industrial/commercial materials handling applications. The Board has determined that further review is warranted and that if the applicant wishes to seek authorization for this activity it will need to submit an application for production authority.
