The Foreign-Trade Zones Board has approved production under zone procedures at theMAHLE Behr Charleston Inc. facility in Charleston, S.C., which is used for the production of engine cooling modules, exhaust gas recirculation valves and temperature sensors, and charge air coolers.

The FTZ Board has received from Georgia Foreign-Trade Zone Inc., grantee of FTZ 26, a notification of proposed production activity at the Suzuki Manufacturing of America Corporation facilities in Rome, Jonesboro and Cartersville, Ga. SMAC already has authority to produce all-terrain vehicles and related components (carriers, footrests, fuel tanks, grips/handle bars, frames, rear box assemblies), and the current request would add certain foreign components to the scope of authority. Comments on this request are due no later than July 22.
