Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg Trade Report

The Foreign-Trade Zones Board is requesting comments no later than July 15 on the following requests.

- Flextronics America LLC has submitted a notification of proposed production activity at its facility in Austin, Texas, within subzone 183C. Flextronics already has authority to produce automated data processing machines within this subzone and the current request would add a finished product as well as foreign status materials and components to the scope of authority.

- The March Joint Powers Authority, grantee of FTZ 244, has submitted a notification of proposed production activity at the ModusLink Global Solutions facility in Riverside, Calif., which is used for the kitting of cameras and accessories into retail packages on behalf of GoPro Inc. The request indicates that inputs included in certain textile categories (classified within HTSUS subheadings 4202.92 and 6307.90) will be admitted to the zone in privileged foreign status, thereby precluding inverted tariff benefits on such items.
