FTZ Board Moves to Expand Zone Production at Compressor, Generator, Tube and Pipe Plants

The Foreign-Trade Zones Board has received from MHI Compressor International Corporation a notification of proposed production activity for its facility within FTZ 84 in Pearland, Texas. This facility is currently under construction and will be used for the production of heavy industrial gas compressors, compressor sets, electrical generators and generating sets. FTZ activity would be limited to the specific foreign-status materials and components and specific finished products described in the submitted notification and subsequently authorized by the FTZ Board. Comments on this notification are due no later than March 10.

The FTZ Board has authorized production under zone procedures at the Tenaris Bay City Inc. facility within subzone 155D in Bay City, Texas. This facility is used for the production of seamless steel tubes and pipes used in oil and gas production as well as other industrial applications.
