Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg Trade Report

The Foreign-Trade Zones Board is accepting comments through June 30 on requests from (a) the Bridgeport Port Authority, grantee of FTZ 76, for subzone status for the ASML US Inc. facilities in Wilton and Newtown, Conn., and (b) the South Carolina State Ports Authority, grantee of FTZ 38, to expand subzone 38A at the BMW Manufacturing Company LLC facility in Spartanburg County, S.C., to include temporary site 8 on a permanent basis. In neither cases has additional authorization for production authority been requested at this time.

In addition, the FTZ Board has approved production activity under zone procedures at the Schneider Electric USA facility within FTZ 269 in Athens, Texas. This facility is used for the assembly and kitting of electrical components and finished products used to control lighting and HVAC equipment.
