New Iowa FTZ. The Foreign-Trade Zones Board has authorized the establishment of FTZ 288 under the alternative site framework with a service area of Cherokee, Lyon, O'Brien, Osceola, Plymouth and Sioux counties in Iowa, adjacent to the Sioux Falls U.S. Customs and Border Protection port of entry.

Airgun Factory. The FTZ Board has received a notification of proposed production activity at the Crosman Corporation facilities in Bloomfield and Farmington, N.Y., within a proposed FTZ in Ontario County, N.Y. These facilities are used for the inspection, assembly, kitting, testing and packaging of airguns. The request indicates that gun cases and holsters classified under HTSUS 4202.92 will be admitted to the zone in privileged foreign status, thereby precluding inverted tariff benefits on such items. Comments on this notification are due no later than Jan. 21.

RV Plant. The FTZ Board has received from the Greater Dayton Foreign-Trade Zone Inc., grantee of FTZ 100, a notification of proposed production activity at the THOR Industries Inc. facilities within subzone 100D in Jackson Center, Ohio. THOR already has authority to produce recreational vehicles within this subzone, and the current request would add commercial buses and foreign-status chassis to the scope of authority. Comments on this notification are due no later than Jan. 21.

Subzone Application Amended. The Puerto Rico Trade & Export Company, grantee of FTZ 61, has amended its application requesting subzone status for the facility of Parapiezas Corporation to request that this subzone consist of a new location in Cataño, Puerto Rico. Comments are due no later than Jan. 10.
