FTZ Board Expanding Zones in Oregon and Indiana

The Foreign-Trade Zones Board has received a request from the City of Fort Wayne, grantee of FTZ 182, for authority to reorganize this zone to expand its service area under the alternative site framework. This zone currently has a service area that includes Adams, Allen, DeKalb, Huntington, Noble, Wabash, Wells and Whitley counties in Indiana, and the applicant is requesting authority to add Blackford, Jay, LaGrange, Randolph and Steuben counties, adjacent to the Fort Wayne U.S. Customs and Border Protection port of entry. Comments on this request are due no later than Sept. 3.

Separately, the FTZ Board has approved the reorganization and expansion of FTZ 45 under the alternative site framework, with a service area of Clackamas, Multnomah and Washington counties in Oregon, in and adjacent to the Portland, Ore., CBP port of entry.
