Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg Trade Report

The Foreign-Trade Zones Board is accepting comments through Jan. 13, 2014, on a request by the Greater Kansas City Foreign Trade Zone Inc., grantee of FTZ 15, for authority to reorganize this zone under the alternative site framework. The proposed service area under the ASF would be Andrew, Bates, Buchanan, Caldwell, Carroll, Cass, Chariton, Clay, Clinton, Cooper, Daviess, DeKalb, Henry, Howard, Jackson, Johnson, Lafayette, Livingston, Pettis, Platte, Ray and Saline counties in Missouri, within and adjacent to the Kansas City U.S. Customs and Border Protection port of entry. If this request is approved, the grantee would be able to serve sites throughout this service area based on companies’ needs for FTZ designation. The application would have no impact on FTZ 15’s previously authorized subzones.
