Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg Trade Report

The Foreign-Trade Zones Board has received from the Piedmont Triad Partnership, grantee of FTZ 230, a notification of proposed activity at the United Chemi-Con Inc. facility in Lansing, N.C. UCC already has authority to produce aluminum electrolytic capacitors within subzone 230A and the current request would add new foreign components to the scope of authority. Comments on this request are due by April 13.

The FTZ Board has approved the reorganization of FTZ 182, granted to the City of Fort Wayne, under the alternative site framework. This zone will now have a service area of Adams, Allen, Blackford, DeKalb, Huntington, Jay, LaGrange, Noble, Randolph, Steuben, Wabash, Wells and Whitley counties in Indiana, adjacent to the Dayton, Ohio U.S. Customs and Border Protection port of entry.
