Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg Trade Report

The Foreign-Trade Zones Board has received an application from the Port of Houston Authority, grantee of FTZ 84, requesting authority to reorganize this zone under the alternative site framework. The proposed service area under the ASF would be Harris County, Texas, within and adjacent to the Houston U.S. Customs and Border Protection port of entry. The application would have no impact on FTZ 84’s previously authorized subzones, and the grantee proposes to retain its existing Site 26 in Brazos County. Comments on this request are due no later than Oct. 6.
