Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg Trade Report

The Foreign-Trade Zones Board is accepting through July 7 comments on an application received from the Four Winds Foreign Trade Zone Corporation to establish an FTZ at sites in the eastern Coachella Valley area of Riverside and Imperial counties in California, adjacent to the Calexico U.S. Customs and Border Protection port of entry, under the alternative site framework. The application indicates that several firms have indicated an interest in using zone procedures for warehousing/distribution activities for a variety of products in this area, but no requests for specific production approvals are being made at this time. The proposed zone would be the second (after FTZ 257) for the Calexico CBP port of entry.
