Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg Trade Report

The Food and Drug Administration will host a public meeting Sept. 19 and 20 in Washington, D.C., to solicit input and provide further information about its recent proposed rules on the Foreign Supplier Verification Program and the accreditation of third-party auditors. Contact Peggy Walker at (496) 854-6991 to register to attend this meeting.

This will be the first of three public meetings the FDA plans to hold during the proposed rules’ comment period, which expires Nov. 26. Subsequent meetings will be held in different regions of the U.S., but all will have the same agenda.

In advance of the FDA meeting, Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg will host a webinar that will comprehensively review FSMA implementation and analyze FDA regulations and requirements that will most directly impact food companies, food importers, foreign food exporters and service providers in the food supply chain, including the FSVP and third-party auditor rules.
