Tougher Energy Conservation Standards Adopted for Commercial Spray Valves

The Department of Energy is imposing tougher energy conservation standards for commercial handheld prerinse spray valves used with commercial dishwashing and ware washing equipment. The DOE concluded that the amended standards would result in significant conservation of energy and are technologically feasible and economically justified. The effective date of this rule is March 29 but compliance will only be required for covered products manufactured in or imported into the U.S. on and after Jan. 28, 2019.
