Export Declaration for Defense Technical Data or Services Under Review

The State Department is requesting public comments by July 15 on the proposed extension of form DS-4071, Export Declaration of Defense Technical Data or Services. Actual export of defense technical data and defense services must be reported directly to the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls in accordance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations and section 38 of the Arms Export Control Act. DDTC monitors the information submitted pursuant to this collection to ensure there is proper control of the transfer of sensitive U.S. technology.
